It’s crazy how our brains will sabotage our goals because it wants to avoid pain and seek pleasure, even when we already have a good routine and just need to adjust it
I have been struggling through some injuries this year and my brain keeps telling me I am losing fitness, but doesn’t want to do the “hard” work to find new exercise to keep my core strength up for my running, so I have a very limited amount of exercises I am doing and it’s been frustrating
My coach helped me to see how silly my brain was being, so I could have compassion for it, since it was just trying to conserve energy and thought it was helping me
Seeing my brain was the real issue is, has allowed to me deal with it head on and now I am making some impactful changes
